Volunteer Coordinator - Develops and maintains volunteer orientation program, recruits, selects and educates volunteers, establishes a need for volunteer services with the patient/family/caregiver, and entire hospice team, supervises and evaluates volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner, maintains monthly statistics, maintains current personnel files, reevaluates volunteer program as necessary.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of two years experience in a health care setting.  Hospice and/or volunteer experience preferred.
  • Ability to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate volunteer services.

RN's (FT& PRN) - Must have a current DC RN license or eligible.  Prefer Hospice or Homecare experience.  Will consider Oncology or Med/Surg backgrounds as well.

Community Hospice of Maryland

 Director of Education/Quality Outcomes/Compliance - Staff development, program management - developing/ implementing/facilitating educational programs for all Community Hospices staff members; collaboraing with Hospice Regional Program Directors and Business Development department regarding external education programs; developing/ implementing/ facilitatings hospice orientation programs; coordinating with Corporate Recruiter and Human Resources department for new hire orientation program; maintaining tracking of all educational programs; Hospice Aide educational hours; Annual Mandatory In-service training; and CPR certification for all CH staff.

 Licensure Required:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in either the State of Maryland, Commonwealth of Virginia and/or District of Columbia  (licensure in all jurisdictions preferable but not necessary)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Masters degree in nursing, nursing education, health education or its equivalent in training and/or experience.  (MSN preferred)
  • At least 5 years progressive health care management experience including a minimum of 2 years at department head level or above in education and quality management.
  • Demonstrated management and clinical experience.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with professionals of multiple disciplines.

 Registered Nurse (PRN) - Must have a current MD RN license or eligible.  Prefer Hospice or  Homecare experience.   Will consider Oncology or Med/Surg backgrounds as well.
