American Association of Pastoral Counselors

The American Association of Pastoral Counselors promotes and supports the ministry of pastoral counseling within religious communities and the field of mental health in the United States and Canada.


Association for Death and Education Counseling

The Association for Death and Education Counseling (ADEC) is one of the oldest interdisciplinary organizations in the field of dying, death and bereavement. ADEC is dedicated to promoting excellence in death education, bereavement counseling and care of the dying through educational opportunities such as courses and workshops, its new certification program and its acclaimed newsletter, The Forum.

End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium

The ELNEC project is a comprehensive, national education program to improve end-of-life care by nurses. Its primary goals are to develop a core of expert nursing educators and to coordinate national nursing education efforts in end-of-life care.

International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care

The mission of the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) is to make high quality hospice and palliative care more available and accessible to patients and families worldwide. IAHPC acts as an information resource for patients, professionals, health care providers and policy makers around the world.

National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) is the country’s largest nonprofit membership organization representing end-of-life care programs and professionals. NHPCO is committed to improving hospice care and the quality of life for both dying Americans and their loved ones.

Proceeds from this book help support Americans for Better Care of the Dying.
